Glass beads are commercially bought in various colours with their accompanying threads. Individual beads are hollow tiny (a millimeter) glass pieces threaded with either wire or plastic thread to form various patters and designs. The size of the beads allows for the creation of various designs and shapes. Place Your Order

Further, these patterns and designs are overlaid on leather, cloth, wood, bone or fibre (sisal, palm and raffia).
Glass Beads Products
Being an essential component in some of our products, there are do’s and don’ts when it comes to caring for glass beads.
- Do not cut the thread
The glass beads are threaded together to form patterns. The threads are therefore an essential component in the integrity of the glass bead designs. Cutting the thread will mean destroying the design as is.
- Store way from direct sunlight
Glass beads under direct sunlight lead to faded products. They should therefore be stored under shade. The same precaution should be taken for other glass bead embedded products (leather, wood, cloth, fibre products etc).
- Clean the beads with a cleaning cloth
Polishing cloths are excellent for wiping away dirt and skin oils that have built up on the glass beads. A light, circular motion is great for buffing and restoring shine.
- Washing of beaded cloth
Washing beaded cloth requires more delicacy than usual. Soak the beaded cloth in warm soapy water and let it for half an hour. After, gently scrub the cloth by rubbing the non-beaded parts together. For fabric that covers a majority of the cloth, rub the non-beaded underside together, spending a few seconds in each area. Rinse the cloth and dry in a shaded area.
